Welcome back, Pat!

We are so glad to have Pat Sailors back in our UCPWA Day Hab program.

Last year, Pat fell and fractured his left leg due to a seizure. After surgery and rehab, he resumed receiving personal care services at his home. Due to his progress with rehab, he was not able to return to our Day Hab program until late last year.

Upon his return to Day Hab, Pat has slowly adjusted and progressed, and he is back to his daily routine as well as interacting with his peers and staff. Everyone at UCPWA was happy to see him back, and he was able to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with us.

In Memory of Carson

Carson Haynes joined the UCPWA family in December 2007. Mr. James Laye provided personal care services to Carson. They grew to become very good friends. Carson and James roamed the streets of Tuscaloosa for almost 5 years. They would often visit the Tuscaloosa Library, University Mall and various restaurants throughout the city.

On December 19, 2014, Carson suffered a massive stroke while at work and was immediately taken to the hospital. Carson was called home to be with The Lord on December 26, 2013. UCPWA will continue to pray for the Haynes family. We will all miss Carson dearly.
