UCPWA takes on new interns

UCPWA is teaming up with two public relations students from the University of Alabama to make this year's fair the best yet.

Molly Moore and Jessica Holt, both in the Capstone's nationally ranked (#2) public relations program, begin at UCPWA on Monday, May 20th.  Molly and Jessica come to us with unique academic and pre-professional backgrounds and strong writing and design skill-sets.

These young ladies are excited to start working with us, and we look forward to all we can accomplish together.  Welcome aboard, ladies!  We are thrilled to add you to the UCPWA family.

Partnering with local nonprofits

UCPWA is partnering with local nonprofits for the 2013 West Alabama State Fair.  Over the past several years, various local community organizations have helped park cars during our signature event in exchange for half the parking costs.  This year, UCPWA is partnering with several organizations including the Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and the Barnes Branch of the YMCA to raise funds for these local nonprofits.

In an effort to make this year's event even better, these community organizations will be requesting donations instead of a specific amount for their assistance with parking.  Each organization will receive the full amount of donations collected on their designated parking night.  The schedule is as follows:

August 20 (Tu) -

August 21 (W) -

August 22 (Th) - LEAP/PACE

August 23 (F) - Red Cross

August 24 (Sa) - Big Brothers Big Sisters

August 25 (Su) -

Come out to the West Alabama State Fair at Sokol Park, August 20 - 25, and support UCPWA and other local community organizations.  We hope to see you there!
