2009 UCP Annual Fund Drive A Great Success!

UCPWA held the Annual Fund Drive on April 19, 2009 at WVUA TV studios from Reese Phifer Hall at the University of Alabama, from 1-5 p.m. Our Honorary Chair for this event was Terry Saban who assisted in bringing awareness to the West Alabama community re: the needs of those with different abilities. The program was full of talent with local flavor including: Rev. Ron Wilson, students of the Children’s Theatre, Mayor Walt Maddox and Mayor Bobby Herndon, Leadership Tuscaloosa Class of 2009-2010, Deontay Wilder and his trainer with Skye Boxing Jay Deas. The drive was very successful for UCPWA and will enable us to continue providing quality programs. As always WVUA station manager Roy Clem and his staff gave tirelessly to see that the drive ran smoothly. Even though this is a once a year event anyone can donate at any time to help those who receive services from UCPWA.
