UCPWA News2010 WEST ALABAMA STATE FAIR & EXPOSITION
United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama is excited to host for the second year the West Alabama State Fair & Exposition. There are many additions to this year's Fair and the 2010 theme is "A FUN FAIR for ALL". Look for the Spiller Stage to hold a great array of activities and musical performances, along with the addition of new and interesting rides. UCPWA is currently searching for unique food vendors and also businesses that are interested in advertising in the Merecedes Benz USI community tent. We are also soliciting fair sponsors, so if your business is interested please contact us ASAP as there are many opportunities to sponsor an acitivity during the fair. If you are interested in volunteering at the fair, all volunteers that work a minimum of four hours receives a fair t-shirt and two admission passes. Below is a schedule of dates and times of fair operation.

September 24th-Gates Open at 5:00 p.m. - Close 12:00 a.m.
September 25th-Gates Open at 12:00 p.m.- Close 12:00 a.m.
September 26th- Gates Open at 2:00 p.m.- Close 10:00 p.m.
September 27th-Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.- Close 11:00 p.m.
September 28th-Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.- Close 11:00 p.m.
September 29th-Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.- Close 11:00 p.m.
September 30th- Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.-Close 11:00 p.m.
October 1st- Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.-Close 12:00 a.m.
SATURDAY OCTOBER 2, 2010 FAIR IS CLOSED FOR BAMA GAME!!!
October 3rd- Gates Open at 2:00 p.m.-Close 10:00 p.m.
ADMISSION FOR OVER 6 YRS. OF AGE IS $5
PARKING IN ALL LOTS $5
ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 25th FROM 12-6 P.M. Bring a can food item and 12 yrs. and younger get in FREE !!!

UCPWA ANNUAL FUND DRIVE 2010
UCPWA's Annual Fund Drive runs each year Jan 1 through September 1. Ths year's Honorary Chair is Coach Mitch Gaspard. Coach Gaspard is in his first year as head coach of the University of Alabama's Baseball team. UCPWA is proud to have him represent us in our campaign this year to bring what we do at UCP to the West Alabama community. Coach Gaspard truly believes in community service and his players have logged over 600 hours in our community to prove this! Please watch for our Annual Fund Drive commercial featuring Coach Gaspard reminding our community to give to UCP so we can continue to assist Individuals with disabilities in living "LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS".
